December 2009: Deb & Jason Miles' "Princess"

Our "Princess" has really taken us places, both physically and mentally! Since being POTM in December 2005, we return 4 years and about 40,000 miles later to let you know this car has taken us everywhere!

We have both been Mustang enthusiasts our whole life and in the story title "This One's a Keeper" in 2005, we were serious. Many other Mustangs have come and gone from our stable in that time but the Princess is the one that has stuck with us.

We have traveled to, down and around many racetracks such as Rockingham Speedway, where Princess was the pace car for the ARCA series race, Rockingham drag strip, Milan Drag strip in Michigan, Orlando Speedworld Dragway, Atlanta Dragway, Silver Dollar Dragway in Reynolds, GA, ZMax Dragway, Lowe's Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Talledega Super Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Virginia International Raceway, and most recently Homestead Miami Speedway. She has even taken us down the "old Daytona Speedway" which is now the sands of Daytona Beach as the lead car in a line of ponies 67 cars deep! And these are just the racetracks she has taken us to! With the fabulous driving ability and the amount of enjoyment we get from this car we average about 10,000 miles a year just going to different shows and events from as far north as Woodward Avenue in Michigan to as far south as Key Largo, FL and all the way over to AL and TN.

She has made us many friends throughout the eastern United States and has blessed us with many top-down driving days. Through multiple appearances in a variety of magazines, and activity on Internet forums, the Princess is known by more people than we are! We have purchased a few other Mustangs since owning her and have sold a few but she has never had a price tag on her. The ease of driving, the power of the throttle, the peacefulness of the convertible and the recognition of the car have rooted us so deep into the Mustang community and the hobby that we will NEVER uproot from the friends and extended family we have made through our enjoyment of the Princess. Maybe it is time that she is promoted to the Queen? But then again, people only know her as what she is so the Princess is here to stay as predicted 4 years ago.
